Efficiently managing Windows 10 devices through Microsoft Intune involves dynamically adding new devices to Intune groups.

This post outlines the process of creating an Azure Active Directory dynamic group tailored for devices (such as Windows 10), ensuring seamless application and policy distribution.

Creating a Dynamic Group

  1. Access the EndPoint Manager Admin Center portal.
  2. Navigate to Groups.
  3. Select New group.
  4. On the new group page, provide a name for the group.
  5. Set the Membership type to Dynamic Device and proceed to click on Add dynamic query.

For instance, in this scenario, a dynamic query will be established to include all computers whose computer names commence with CPC-.

By implementing this dynamic group, assigning an app deployment policy is possible. Consequently, when a computer joins Azure AD and undergoes a restart, all designated applications will automatically deploy to the device.
